MSDW Wall-mounted Ferromagnetic Detector

SKU: OCG-MSDW

Wall-Mounted Ferromagnetic Detector

Ensuring the safety of personnel and equipment in MRI facilities.

  • Preventive Detection: Identifies ferromagnetic and magnetized objects to prevent the “projectile effect” within the MRI room.
  • High Sensitivity: Provides uniform detection across the entire sensing area for all ferromagnetic items.
  • Accurate Localization: Features multi-zone acoustic and optical alarm signaling for precise object location.
  • Durable Construction: Built with high-impact reinforced plastics and stainless steel for extreme durability.
  • Versatile Deployment: Certified to operate in any location within Zone I, II, or III.
  • Advanced Logging: Records up to 70,000 events (FIFO logger) with full traceability of alarms, programming changes, and diagnostics.
  • Easy Connectivity: Program parameters and download data logs via smartphone or portable PC.
  • Flexible Power: Supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) or a 24Vdc external adapter.
  • Proven Reliability: Joins a large global install base of CEIA MSD ferromagnetic detectors.

  • Security: Password-protected programming available at both User and Supervisor levels.

  • Bluetooth (BT): * Blue Light: Connection in progress.

    • BT Headset (Accessory): Mimics all acoustic indications and provides BT connection status updates.

Multi-Color Status and Alarm Lights

  • Green Light: Normal operation; no alarms detected.

  • Yellow Light: Detection of a ferromagnetic object below the alarm threshold.

  • Red Light: Detection of a ferromagnetic object above the alarm threshold.

    • Provides full-height alarm indication.

    • Indication is proportional to signal intensity.

    • Zonal signaling with 5 distinct localization zones.

  • Blinking Red Light: System diagnostics alarm.

Alarm Sounder

  • Target Alarms: Triggered when a target exceeds the threshold.

    • Options include: Fixed tone, tone proportional to signal intensity, or a single pulse for pinpointing.

    • Selection available for continuous or intermittent tones.

  • Self-Diagnostics: Indicated by an intermittent tone.
