RADsafe Traction Strap

SKU: RAD-AD-TS

An auto-traction device for radiography of the lower cervical spine.

The RadSafe Traction Strap is a simple device with which a patient can use their own legs to exert downward pressure on their arms in order to lower their shoulders during spinal imaging. Traction is often used to achieve better imaging of the lower cervical spine and this device removes the need for a physician or attendant to manually perform this task and expose themselves to unnecessary radiation during the imaging procedure. This device may also be used to sustain traction during shoulder arthrography, lower the shoulder during therapeutic radiation to the face and neck, and aid in the evaluation of acromioclavicular joint of the supine patient. The strap is adjustable to suit different size patients and is constructed from strong materials for lasting use.

This device is based off the device outlined in “New Traction Device for Radiography of the Lower Cervical Spine” by Donald Boger and Philip W. Ralls.
